About the Author
I live in Phoenix, AZ where I do volunteer work for the Desert Botanical Garden, and the Master Gardener and Master Watershed program with the Cooperative Extension. We are involved with public education to urge people to conserve natural resources here in the desert. The metaphor of Mother Earth with regards to the war over oil seems apt.

Poems
The Donor (11/1/07)
The oily smell of black blood reeks as
hypodermic rigs pierce Earth's deep arteries
to pump plasma into pipelines.
